Getting here

Picardy offers a well-developed communication network across its departments. You can either fly here, with many low-cost companies now operating to and from the region, but also drive here (an excellent motorway network) or use trains and buses operating in the region.

By Ferry

Ferries have always been the traditional way to get to France from the UK although now there is new competition coming from the Channel Tunnel and of course airlines, but the ferry still makes a great way to cross the English Channel.

- Dover to Calais (Sea France) (P+O Ferries).
- Dover to Dunkirk (Norfolk Line).

By Car

From the UK: For convenience Eurotunnel is difficult to beat. It may not be the cheapest service to Calais, but you save at least 10 minutes in the UK as you board at Folkestone rather than Dover. The boarding process is usually quite painless and the actual journey time is the quickest at 35 minutes
